Game download time calculator
Estimate a download from the advertised game size and the connection speed you actually expect to sustain.
100 GB at an effective 90 Mbps after a 10% allowance.
Formula used
The calculator converts the selected size to bytes, converts the connection to bits per second, applies the selected overhead allowance, and divides total bits by the effective bit rate. Decimal GB uses 1,000,000,000 bytes; GiB uses 1,073,741,824 bytes.
Mbps is not MB/s
Internet plans normally advertise megabits per second, written Mbps. Download clients may show megabytes per second, written MB/s. Eight bits make one byte, so 100 Mbps has an ideal ceiling of 12.5 MB/s before overhead and other limits.
Why the real download may differ
Wi-Fi quality, other devices, content-server capacity, routing, storage speed, decompression, verification, patches, and launcher behavior can all change elapsed time. Use a sustained speed from a recent test when possible.

The calculation runs locally. Game size and connection speed are not submitted to GameKitly.
