Is Fable Multiplayer? Official Single-Player Status
The official Steam listing reviewed for this page categorizes Fable as a single-player game. It does not currently list multiplayer, co-op, or online co-op support.

What that wording means
Single-player is the only play-mode category on the reviewed Steam listing. Family Sharing and controller support describe storefront or input features; neither establishes multiplayer or co-op.
Full controller support is listed and a gamepad is recommended. Input support, cloud saves, achievements, and Family Sharing are separate store features and should not be treated as evidence of a multiplayer mode.
Details still missing
Future announcements could add or clarify connected features, but no unlisted multiplayer mode should be treated as confirmed. This page will change only when an official source changes.
A complete multiplayer guide would need official answers for connection model, player count, session ownership, save behavior, matchmaking, cross-play, platform subscriptions, and which activities can be completed together.
How to use this status
Treat the listed modes as confirmed at the category level, not as a complete networking specification. The exact date, 135 GB storage figure, SSD requirement, controller status, and two PC tiers can support calendar and hardware planning. Regional unlock time, preload timing, and any unlisted connected features remain separate questions.
GameKitly will not publish a co-op compatibility tool until the official documentation defines enough of those rules to produce a dependable result.
