Both minimum and recommended require a 64-bit install of Windows 10 or Windows 11. 32-bit Windows, Windows 7, and Windows 8 are not in the listed requirements.
Minimum tier is an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600. Recommended moves to an Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X. The Intel i5-10600K tier is the practical target for most 1440p setups; the 8700K in the minimum list is the older 6-core Skylake / Coffee Lake part that was flagship at launch.
16 GB across every tier. The minimum tier does not drop to 8 GB; Phantom Blade Zero assumes a modern multi-tasking baseline. 32 GB or more is not required by the official listing, but it removes the chance of background applications competing for memory on a heavily modded system.
Minimum GPU is NVIDIA GTX 1660 6 GB or AMD RX 5500 XT 8 GB. Recommended is NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB or AMD RX 6700 XT 12 GB. The 6 GB minimum VRAM is the limiting factor on the GTX 1660 for higher texture packs; this is one of the reasons RTX 3060 (12 GB) is a more comfortable target than GTX 1660 Ti (6 GB).
DirectX 12 is required. DirectX 11 is not listed. Vulkan support is not announced in the official sources reviewed here.
Steam lists SSD as the drive type at every tier. Phantom Blade Zero install size is not published in the sources reviewed on 31 August 2026; we will publish it on the storage size page as soon as S-GAME confirms a number.
Single-player only per the current Steam category list, so the only network requirement is Steam connectivity for updates and DRM verification. There is no multiplayer tickrate or bandwidth floor.
HDR is not listed as a separate requirement; the Steam listing lists "HDR: Supported only". A non-HDR monitor will still run the game without an error.
