Deadlock / Hero Shooter
Deadlock / Maps
Deadlock matches take place on a single shared map divided into three lanes, connected by jungle paths and a mid-boss pit.
Each Deadlock match uses one map with three lanes (top, mid, bottom). Both teams have a Patron structure deep in their base. The lane that connects the two bases via the shortest path is mid; the longer paths are top and bottom.
Between lanes, jungle paths hold neutral creep camps. Killing a jungle camp grants souls to and the to nearby teammates. Some camps also drop special buffs.
| Objective | What it does |
|---|---|
| Mid boss (Walkers / Mid-Boss) | Pushes down a lane after being killed by a team |
| Tier 1 / Tier 2 towers | Defensive structures blocking lane progress |
| Patron | Win condition; destroying the enemy Patron ends the match |
| Neutral urn | Drops powerful buffs when collected |
Each lane has zip lines that allow fast vertical traversal between the front and back of a team's base. Using zip lines is part of macro play in Deadlock.
Unlike traditional MOBAs, Deadlock uses a single map at the time of writing. There is no map pool or random selection. Map variants have not been announced.
