Deadlock / Hero Shooter
Deadlock / Online play
Deadlock is an online-only 6v6 hero shooter MOBA. There is no single-player campaign, no bots-only mode in ranked, and no offline practice mode beyond the tutorial.
The Steam category for Deadlock identifies it as multiplayer only. Matches consist of two teams of 6 players competing to push lanes and destroy the enemy Patron (a structure in each team's base).
| Match element | Confirmed details |
|---|---|
| Team size | 6 players per side (6v6) |
| Match length | Typically 25-40 minutes |
| Win condition | Destroy the enemy team's Patron |
| Bots allowed | Casual mode allows bots to fill empty slots |
| Ranked mode | Yes, no bots allowed |
Deadlock does not have a single-player story mode. The closest offline content is the tutorial and the hero sandbox for trying abilities. There is no PvE mode at launch.
Since the game is PC-only on Steam, there is no cross-platform play with consoles. There is no native cross-region matchmaking restriction; you can queue with players from any region.
