Deadlock / Hero Shooter
Deadlock / System stack
Deadlock is an online-only hero shooter MOBA on Source 2. System requirements are dominated by network stability and CPU multi-threading.
Windows 10 64-bit at minimum; Windows 10 or 11 64-bit at recommended. 32-bit Windows is not supported. macOS and Linux are not announced as supported platforms.
Minimum is an Intel Core i5-6600 (Skylake, 4C/4T) or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X. Recommended is an Intel Core i7-8700 (Coffee Lake, 6C/12T) or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (Zen 2, 6C/12T). Multi-threaded CPU matters more than single-core for team-fight stability.
8 GB minimum, 16 GB recommended. Deadlock benefits from extra RAM for background applications and Steam overlay.
Minimum is NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB or AMD RX 560 4 GB. Recommended is NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super 6 GB or AMD RX 590 8 GB. The recommended tier adds VRAM headroom for high-resolution textures in hero ability effects.
DirectX 11 at minimum; DirectX 12 at recommended. Vulkan is not announced as a supported API.
30 GB SSD required at every tier. HDD installation is not officially supported; SSD is needed for Source 2 engine asset streaming.
Deadlock is online-only. A stable broadband connection is mandatory for matchmaking, gameplay, and Steam Cloud sync. There is no offline mode. Recommended upstream bandwidth: 5 Mbps or higher for stable 60 Hz tick rate.
Windows-compatible audio device. The game does not list a specific audio API requirement. Source 2 uses Steam Audio by default.
HDR support is not listed in the official Steam requirements. A standard sRGB monitor works at every tier.
